Cynthia is a native of Fort
Myers, who grew up in Alva, about 20 miles east of the 'City of
Palms. She graduated from
Riverdale High School and
attended Edison Community College and Oral Robert's University where she
studied music and education.
She began leading the music
at the Pilgrim's Church in 1991, then came on staff full time as the
Minister of Youth and Music in 1999. At this time, Cynthia worked with the
combined youth groups from the Pilgrim's Church and the Horizon Evangelical
Friends Church, until the two churches merged into CHURCH OF THE CROSS in
2003.
The merging of the two
churches was very exciting for the teens. They really felt as if they had
played a big part in being examples of what can be accomplished when we all
work together toward the same goal.
