Here's
what the kid's said about Mission Trip 2011:
Alex N.: "We had VBS this week, but
think about it, not only did we impact the kids lives; when we helped the staff,
taking out the trash, or smiling, we impacted them too, and who knows how many
people those kids and staff members will impact."
Alex H: "I was reminded this week
that God calls us to both serve others, as well as build us up at the same time.
The experience is indescribable, and each one of us (staff, campers, leaders),
was put there to lift one another up through Jesus Christ.
Kaleigh: "When I prayed on Zacksbys
and then a guy came up to me and told me how proud he was, and that they were
very appreciative of us. This really made my day!
McKenzie: "God shows up in all
places. We saw him not only in the cute smiles of the children at VBS, but in
our free time, too. For example, while tubing, there was a family of three and
they got stuck on a rock; so me, Alex and Kaleigh stopped to help them. After we
got them out, the little girl turned and said, "Thank you so much!" My heart
just about melted.
Jack: "While at camp, we shared a
cabin with another group. One of the guys from the group would come over and
talk to me all the time, asking about completely random stuff. I don't think we
ever learned each other's names, but I do know that we both made a complete
stranger into a good friend.
Ashleigh: "My most favorite part of
the week was when we got to meet so many people at VBS. And we had a great time
making the children smile.
